The Gamay grape variety and the granite subsoil offer this wine in its youth its purplish-red color which, over time, evolves from dark garnet to deep ruby.

 

 

Elegant and fine nose, very fruity, on ripe cherry. Over time perfumes of rose and violet or spices.

It is especially at the palace that the windmill asserts its great distinction. The right proportion of each of its constituents, the finesse of its tannins and the persistence of its aromas provide unparalleled pleasure. Fleshy, velvety, often mineral, this wine can inherit some woody touches from its ageing. Its breed and cachet develop over time, the guard can be up to 10 years.

The windmill is a red wine French appellation of controlled origin product riding on the limit between the departments of the Rhône and the Saône-and-Loire.

The appellation covers a part of the communes of Chénas and Romanèche-Thorins, in the vineyards of the Beaujolais. It is one of the ten vintages from this vineyard.
